Cassandra Karras has danced and competed for 23 years, possesses her Member’s Certificate with the Scottish Dance Teachers’ Alliance (SDTA), and has over 13 years of teaching experience. Taught by her aunt and dance teacher Margaret Lobianco, she began competing at the age of 7, and was second runner up in the adult class at the Canadian Open Championships in the summer of 2013 in Edmonton, Alberta. She is registered with Scotdance Canada, so all dancers as young as 4 years old can compete and participate in exams. She has competed all over the world, including in the US, Scotland, and Switzerland. A variety of class types are offered, from traditional classes to prepare for competitions, to technique classes, and choreography classes. There are plenty of opportunities for dancers to perform, from competitions every weekend to community events. Private lessons are also available.
